Taco Bell Is Giving Free Tacos To Everyone In America, Thanks To The Boston Red Sox!

You know how it goes — one person steals something, everyone gets something for free — maybe not the most morally correct principle to abide by but we mean, it worked for Robin Hood, so why can’t it work for Taco Bell?

The fast-food giant is showing everyone that the only thing better than Taco Tuesday is Taco Thursday it will be serving the entire country free tacos on Thursday November 1 as a part of its ‘Steal A Base, Steal A Taco’ promotion.

The promotion (which has successfully run for the past 11 years) promises that if a base is stolen in any of the seven World Series games, Taco Bell will give away one free Doritos Locos Taco to every baseball-loving American, from Los Angeles all the way to Boston.

This year, the deed was done in Game one (how’s that for rhyming?) when Mookie Betts of the Boston Red Sox successfully stole second base after leading off for the home team on Tuesday night.

Whether you’re first up to bat or last , you best believe you’re trying to steal a base as soon as possible when free Taco Bell is on the line (or you’re just actively trying to win the World Series, no judgement either way, we just like our tacos) which would explain Betts’ quick steal right from the get-go.

Taco Bell excitedly tweeted about the news, confirming that it would be holding true to its promotional promise:

Betts joins six other MLB players who have won free tacos for the nation, most recently following Cameron Maybin on the Houston Astros who also stole a base against the Dodgers in 2017.

In order to redeem your free food, visit any participating Taco Bell on Thursday, November 1 from 2-6 p.m. or grab a free voucher online and cash it in at any other point during the day.

Because whether you’re a Dodgers fanatic or worship the Green Monster, there’s one thing we can all agree on: Free tacos are a home run for everyone and if you don’t agree you can take a nice hustle on out to the outfield (and never come back!)
