Sometimes when you cross the line, you can’t be forgiven.
That’s how Dionne Warwick feels.
Last year, a documentary about Whitney Houston claimed that Dionne Warwick’s Sister, Dee Dee, molested the late singer. In Whitney, the singer’s former assistant Marie Jones, made the wild claim.
Warwick told People during an interview that she was still angry about the accusations about her sister, who passed away in 2008. Warwick remembers her sister as “a loving, caring, giving person.”
Warwick also said that the way her sister was depicted is untrue. She also said it’s something she can “never forgive.”
Whitney Houston’s mother Cissy Houston, also said that Dee Dee was falsely accused. In a statement she said,
“We cannot reconcile the Public’s need to know about Whitney’s life as justification for invasion of her privacy or the charge against Dee Dee, a charge which neither Whitney nor Dee Dee is here to deny, refute or affirm. Neither I, Dionne, nor my son Michael who was very close to his sister, and in the film is VERY candid about their drug use, has ever heard these allegations; we have never heard anything remotely connected to the crimes charged against Dee Dee in the film.”
Warwick has an upcoming album coming out May 17th called “She’s Back.” Take a look at her talking about it:
