  • The singer, 33, cancelled her Vegas residency earlier this year, hours before her debut show
  • It was later reported Adele called it off due to relationship problems
  • The songstress has been dating sports agent Rich Paul since early 2021
  • Adele hit back at rumours her relationship is on the rocks
  • Adele has hit back at rumours she cancelled her Las Vegas residency in February because she was having problems with her boyfriend Rich Paul.

The singer, 33, defiantly took to Instagram on to address speculation over the status of her relationship.

Adele accompanied the caption with a beaming snap in a plunging tiger print dress- a far cry from her last post on January 20, where she tearfully told fans she could not go ahead with the residency less than a day before her scheduled debut show at Caesars Palace.

Adele’s sassy Instagram posts came after The New York Daily News reported the singer called off ‘Weekends With Adele’ residency because she was having issues with Rich.

A source said over the weekend: ‘There’s trouble in paradise. That’s why she can’t perform.’

Insiders close to Adele’s camp claimed she had been crying through rehearsals and interrupting them to take phone calls with him.

Rich, who manages the likes of NBA star LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons, among other athletes, has been with the singer since early 2021.

Adele finalised her divorce from ex Simon Konecki last March and the pair share custody of son Angelo, eight.

The singer and Rich went public with their romance at the NBA Finals in Phoenix, Arizona in July.

Her residency was initially supposed to open in January, with performances scheduled to run through April.

A visibly emotional Adele tearfully told fans, many of whom were already in Sin City at the time, several different reasons behind her pushing back the residency.

‘My show ain’t ready,’ she said.

We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time, and for it to be good enough for you. But we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID.’

Prior to news of her relationship issues, it was also reported the delays were down to the singer being displeased with the set design, particularly over a swimming pool erected in the middle of the stage.

Adele’s residency was done at Caesars Palace, as all preparations for the production had stopped, the sets have been loaded out and there’s no activity related to addressing concerns that presumably led to the cancellation.

‘The sound system Adele and her team insisted upon was taken out, the original equipment ire-installed.

MailOnline contacted Adele’s representatives for further comment.

Sources told the Sun the shows were destined for trouble due to behind-the-scenes clashes between Adele and acclaimed set designer Esmeralda Devlin – with whom she previously worked on her 2016 world tour.

One source claimed: ‘In spite of the set costing millions to put together, Adele was unhappy with the result, and she made her feelings very clear to Es.

‘She was already nervous and the falling-out sent her spiralling into a panic because she was desperate that everything should be perfect.’

A second source said the dispute came after the production had already been thrown into chaos by ‘endless changes’ to the running order.
