D.L. Hughley Claps Back After Kanye West Called Him A Drug Addict And Said He “Can Afford To Hurt Him!”

Kanye West isn’t getting along with way too many people nowadays. He had issues with his former wife Kim Kardashian after he claimed that he isn’t allowed to frequently visit his kids. The former rapper was also at loggerheads with comedian D.L. Hughley after the comedian called him out for poorly handling the divorce issue with Kardashian, telling him his behavior amounts to stalking his former wife.
During an interview on VLAD TV, Hughley thought of sharing his opinion on Ye’s behavior on Instagram, especially after his ex-wife was declared officially single. “He is stalking her. You can think it’s cute. If it was my daughter, I’d do something about it,” said Hughley during the interview.
The Original Kings of Comedy star also claimed that the former rapper’s mental health was at stake, asking him to get back to medicine.
As usual, Ye didn’t take such comments kindly. He was sure to address them as they came, even adding that he could afford to hurt the comedian.
“And DL Hughley is a pawn Yeah I know a king not supposed to address a pawn but I address everything and find addresses DL So don’t speak on me or my children I can afford to hurt u,” said Ye in the since-deleted posts, according to XXL.
Calling Hughley a drug addict, Ye posted a 2020 video of the comedian passing out during an event after contracting coronavirus. He went on to mock Hughley, saying he’s hated by both his family and God and is now reduced to a broke pawn.
In a third deleted post, which came after the “Donda” artist found out where Hughley resides, the rapper wrote, “Wuuuuuut??? DL lives in Calabasas???????? Yoooooo God is good,” adding a smiling emoji.
Things got hotter when the comedian got wind of Ye’s comments.
“Ain’t no way in hell I’d ever be scared of a dude who wears #IKnowWhatDidLastSummerBoots!!! #TeamDl,” wrote Hughley before adding, “#Kanye!! It’s just too bad that you acting like a nut won’t stop #Pete from bustin one!! #TeamDl.”
