Voter Registration Drive: The Power of Your Vote…It’s Your Right; It’s Your Life!”

Now more than ever, it is imperative that as many people as possible cast their vote in the unprecedented November 3rd election and participate in the political process. Join local leaders, business owners, and the community for the “The Power of Your Vote…It’s Your Right & Your Life” neighborhood outreach events. All are invited to attend this grass root canvassing event at the Hough Multipurpose Center located in historical Hough (8555 Hough Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44106).

When: Saturday, September 26, 2020 (2p-5p)

*Masks and Social Distancing are required

The focus is voter registration and to encourage voters to recruit family members, friends, and associates to cast their very important vote. As a key facet, people of the community will have the opportunity to find which voting options are available, as well as which one work best for them. Volunteers will be on-hand to register eligible voters, instruct people how to complete an absentee ballot and review election deadlines and requirements. Emphasis will be on increasing support and participation from Black men of all ages. Even with most felony convictions you can still vote!

“Vote Like Your Life Depends on It…Because it Does—This is Your Right & Your Life.” This is an all hands-on-deck initiative to ensure as many City of Cleveland voters participate in this important democratic election as possible. A goal of the event is to remind people of the POWER of CASTING YOUR VOTE. The civil rights movement and election of the first Black President engaged Black voters in record numbers; the same since of urgency exists today.
