MXO ‘The Arts Unplugged’: DANCECleveland Names New Executive Director!
CoolCleveland.com, Posted July 2nd 2021
The nonprofit DANCECleveland has been presenting modern and contemporary dance performances and related educational events in Cleveland for 65 years. Recently, it’s long time executive director Pamela Young announced her retirement.
The organization has now announced that, after a national search, Theresa Remick will be taking over leadership. Remick, who has a degree in vocal performance from the Eastman School of Music and a master’s in performing arts management from Brooklyn College, arrives in Cleveland following a stint as managing director of Minneapolis’ Page Theatre performing arts center. Remick has also held positions with George Washington University, National Arts Strategies, Washington National Opera, The Metropolitan Opera, and Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts. She has been active in the greater Minnesota arts community, serving on the board of the Minnesota Presenters Network and chairing the Winona Fine Arts Commission, among other groups. Hopefully, she will have a similar presence in Cleveland’s arts scene.
